A Second Thought

G'day again folks! It's rare for me to make two posts in one day but, I had to report a little something to all that are following this. Since new posts show up first, just make sure that you view my weekend review post regarding my performance on Darwinex which I had posted only a few hours earlier. https://forexnewsbytes.blogspot.com/2019/09/week-in-review-at-darwinex.html

Now, I am not quite sure if all of you understand how the falling out with me and eToro occurred but, it all started when I made a large deposit at the very end of the month of July. During that month I was nearing a +10% monthly gain and my stats on eToro displayed that. AFTER my deposit though, my visible stats for the ENTIRE community to see were divided by MORE than four! I went from exhibiting a +10% gain for the month to barely +2% gain, only because I made a large deposit. Think about that for a moment! Neither deposits OR withdrawals should in ANY way affect someone's stats. People are looking at Popular Investor's stats to try and make an informed decision as to who they should invest their hard earned money! Now, my deposit wasn't an attempt to affect my stats for the month. I would have NO reason to do that, I was up. I promise you though, there are people doing just that on eToro. Imagine someone is down -10% for the month and then they deposit a large amount at the end of the month making their new stats to display, for EVERYONE to see and act upon, a mere -2%. Then, they close out the end of the month with a stellar last few days, making them look like a super star! Believe me peeps...it SOOOO happens, all the time!

Another thing that happens, which is a STRICT no no in the world of trading, is stacking ones trades. Stacking trades is a practice to where you enter a trade and as it goes down against you, you add more and more positions. Often, subsequent positions are continually larger in size in sucession to their predecessors. A trader on eToro that practices such a strategy is OlivierDanvel. I am in NO way impugning him or his character by saying this. He's a good bloke and has certainly managed to create a useful appearence that appeals to many folks that are risk averse. Unfortunately though, eToro usually has him listed as a trader with a risk score of a mere 1. His focus appears NOT to make as much profit as he can but, purely to have nothing but "green" months... well, that approach is certainly working on eToro! Even though he does not stay at the risk score of 1 because he keeps adding to his positions as they go against him.

That can work well for quite a while, in fact... ANY of you can do it. Really! Catyfx has been doing the same thing for ages in a one direction method. She certainly hasn't commanded the audience that OlivierDanvel has though and he is most definitely more knowledgeable regarding forex than she is.

THIS is what can happen to you though when STACKING goes HORRIBLY wrong!!!

A 2,268 pip movement in ONE day on a currency pair that was ONLY moving roughly 12 pips on average per day, would DESTROY the accounts of folks that stack trades! NO ONE can close all their trades in time as the movement is SO abrupt...especially on eToro where it takes AGES to close a single trade! With Sine Wave or ANY Basket trading strategy that I only engage in, situations like this would effect me very little. Would I have lost my CHF weeking trades abruptly while trading on eToro?...absolutely! BUT, my CHF strengthening trades would have maxed out too, negating any major loss I might have suffered overall! Trading on mt4, which is the platform that I am trading on now with Darwinex, where it is not necessary to set stop losses, I would have never been phased by such a movement!

Folks, I know what I am doing. I got SOOO sick of people coming on eToro trying to chide and demean me as if I was another regular young kid swearing that I found the "Holy Grail". No one want's you to succede on eToro because it does not serve THEIR best interest...trying to hoodwink the majority of YOU! I implore you all to watch what I am doing in real time on a REAL platform. I assure you that you will see a major difference quite quickly.

Anyway, my initial deposit to begin last week with Darwinex was £2,000. Earlier today, I added an additional £2,000, mostly to build up to the £10,000 mark that is required by Darwinex to maximise the benefits of Darwinia, however, what I was REALLY curious to see is if my doubling of my deposit would in any way effect my stats that ALL of you use to make your investment decisions...well, the answer is, IT DIDN'T!
